April Wilson

April Wilson MA MFT

April Wilson possesses a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee.  She is currently working toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Through her graduate work April has gained experience in individual, pre-marital and marital counseling as well as helping with divorce adjustment and blended family issues.  April also spent 9 months counseling adolescent women with such problems as substance abuse, rebellion, promiscuity, and poor self-image.  She has also gained drug and alcohol counseling experience through leading a substance abuse group at PCC.
April seeks to build on the strengths of clients in addition to addressing family of origin issues, poor choices, and other areas of life that can keep individuals from living and effective and fulfilling life.  She believes that insight, desire, and decision are necessary components of positive change and growth as an individual, couple, and/or as a family.
April has been married to her husband Matt for almost 5 years, and they have two young daughters.
